Fashionable as it is to talk about sustainability, to actually walk the path is more difficult, yet far more rewarding and meaningful.

Organizations of all kinds – such as businesses, non-profits, and community groups – shape our world. Based in the idea that people coming together and working toward a common cause have more potential than those acting alone, organizations are a powerful force. And while many organizations now recognize their role in protecting and nourishing life on this planet, taking steps to do so is difficult. Indeed, one cannot care for those whom they do not know, and one cannot know nature from behind office walls and under fluorescent lights.

Starting from the belief that we must first know nature before we can care for it, our Programs for Organizations facilitate experiences which enable organizations and their communities to get to know nature through hands-on programs mixing intellectual, emotional, and community learning.

 

In a world where​​ non-profits lobby from downtown offices to protect lands and waters which they rarely experience, and businesses discuss sustainability via videoconference, joyous re-connection with the natural world is the missing foundation, and it's needed more than ever.
